The work featured here contemplates the meaning of Circle within a Square. The Circle is a symbol of the Self, of cycles and seasons, the Infinite. It is a symbol of balance, completeness and unity of all life. My paintings that place a circle within a square are meditations on the Transcendent Mystery. The illuminated mandala designs come from imagery that I receive in meditation. Each mandala acts as a focal point for it's specific meditation.
