Janelle Schneider - Fine Artist
My original paintings and prints are influenced by symbols, dreams, psyche, and Gaia as Mother Earth mythologies as a part of the Great Mystery. I'm interested in the spaces where these things overlap, and the inner and outer worlds come together. I’m interested in exploring the interconnectedness of all things.
As a fine artist I’ve worked for over 15 years with oils, now predominantly in acrylics. My work ranges from acrylic on canvas to various combinations of mixed media collage and digital pieces. I love integrating different mediums in such a way that it becomes difficult to discern 'how' the imagery was created. It's important to me that the imagery I create finds emotional resonance with the viewer.
My painting studio is located at Artworks Downtown in San Rafael, California, and is open most Sundays and by appointment.
