Symbolic Mysticism

My work is informed and inspired by dreams, mythology, Nature, and spirituality. I create symbolic imagery that reinforces and celebrates connection with Nature, resonates with the psyche, and explores states of personal transcendance. I'm interested in the spaces where these things overlap, and the inner and outer worlds come together.

Much of my work contemplates the symbolic meaning of the Circle within a Square. The circle is an ancient and universal symbol of unity, wholeness, and the infinite. It is also symbolic of a sacred space, the Center, the Self. Historically the square is symbolic of the Earth, the natural structured order of the Universe and of pairs of opposites in the field of time. Together the circle and square are a visual metaphor recognizing the inter-connectedness and oneness of the life force in all things,
